Neonatology Grand Rounds

The Perinatal Institute and Educational Streaming Media Program at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center provide digital version of the Neonatology Grand Rounds.

Due to increasing advances in interactive streaming media, please be aware that certain presentations require Windows Media Player 9, which is available free from Microsoft.

Directions for those viewing Neonatology Grand Rounds via live webcast.

In order to obtain AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ , the following must be accomplished:

  1. The presentation must be viewed in its entirety.
  2. A validation code will be given during the presentation.
  3. After viewing the presentation you must click on the paperclip icon on the top bar of the media site window.
  4. Click the link that says "validation and completion".
  5. Use the validation code to access the evaluation.  Further directions will be provided at this time.

  • Educational Gap:  Premature infants require specialized care based on their gestational age.  Infants born at 30 weeks require different care, including nutrition and respiratory management than an infant born at 24 or 36 weeks.  Clinical anecdotes reveal inconsistency in the management of the early third trimester preterm infant.  The purpose of the educational event is to improve consistency of practice among different institutions.
