Training Tomorrow's Leaders

Cincinnati Children's offers one of the largest pediatric training programs wihtin a single institution in the United States

Cincinnati Children's offers one of the largest pediatric training programs within a single institution in the United States.

In fiscal year 2003, we trained:

  • 43 predoctoral students in the Molecular and Developmental Biology Graduate Program, including 7 MD/PhD students
  • 149 junior medical students in the pediatric clerkship
  • 165 residents in pediatrics, dentistry, psychology and a variety of combined training programs
  • 25 residents from the University of Cincinnati each month in surgery, radiology and anesthesiology
  • 139 clinical fellows
  • 77 research postdoctoral fellows
  • 5 Procter Scholars, physicians preparing for biomedical or clinical investigative careers in pediatrics

In FY 2003, Cincinnati Children's faculty published:

  • 11 books/reports
