Training Tomorrow's Leaders
Cincinnati Children's offers one of the largest pediatric training programs within a single institution in the United States.
In fiscal year 2003, we trained:
- 43 predoctoral students in the Molecular and Developmental Biology Graduate Program, including 7 MD/PhD students
- 149 junior medical students in the pediatric clerkship
- 165 residents in pediatrics, dentistry, psychology and a variety of combined training programs
- 25 residents from the University of Cincinnati each month in surgery, radiology and anesthesiology
- 139 clinical fellows
- 77 research postdoctoral fellows
- 5 Procter Scholars, physicians preparing for biomedical or clinical investigative careers in pediatrics
Extensive Publications
In FY 2003, Cincinnati Children's faculty published:
- 655 peer-reviewed articles
- 11 books/reports
- 56 non-peer-reviewed articles
- 75 sections of books
- 9 pieces in web, CD-ROM and audio
