Training Tomorrow's Leaders

Cincinnati Children's offers one of the largest pediatric training programs within a single institution in the United States. In fiscal year 2004, we trained:

  • 43 predoctoral students in the Molecular and Developmental Biology Graduate Program, including 7 MD/PhD students
  • 146 junior medical students in the pediatric clerkship
  • 172 residents in pediatrics, dentistry, psychology and a variety of combined training programs
  • 25 residents from the University of Cincinnati each month in surgery, radiology and anesthesiology
  • 152 clinical fellows
  • 81 research postdoctoral fellows
  • 3 Procter Scholars, physicians preparing for biomedical or clinical investigative careers in pediatrics

Extensive Publications

In FY 2004, Cincinnati Children's faculty published:

  • 736 peer-reviewed articles
  • 74 sections of books
  • 60 non-peer-reviewed articles
  • 3 books/reports
  • 3 pieces in web, CD-ROM and audio
