Overview
Our 2009 annual report is a departure from previous years in presentation and content, as we hope to reflect the excitement, innovation and discovery taking place within the collaborative, creative environment of our Cincinnati Children's Research Foundation.
Our 2009 numbers are impressive:
- With over 500 faculty members, we are among the largest of any children's hospital or pediatric department in the nation
- Sponsored programs grew to over $137 million in 2009, an increase of 4.4 percent
- We received $99.9 million in NIH awards in 2009
- Our faculty authored more than 1,100 published manuscripts
But more impressive than our numbers are our people. The work they do will permit continued growth of our research program, reflecting our ongoing commitment to research and to change the outcome for children around the world.
The discoveries produced by our faculty physicians and scientists, working in concert with outstanding graduate students, fellows, research and core support staff, brought about radical changes at Cincinnati Children's Research Foundation in 2009.
