Overview
A new research building, groundbreaking discoveries and exceptional people helped make it a great year for Cincinnati Children's Research Foundation.
Our 2007 numbers are impressive:
- With over 450 faculty members, we are among the largest of any children's hospital or pediatric department in the nation
- Sponsored programs grew to over $123 million in 2007, up from $12 million in 1992, a ten-fold increase
- We received $92.1 million in NIH awards in 2007, up from $8.9 million in 1992, this in spite of a completely flat NIH budget over the last four years
- 774 peer-reviewed articles were published in 2007
- Our new 12-story, 415,000 square foot facility opened, boosting our research space up to nearly 1 million square feet, making us one of the largest pediatric research programs in the country
But more impressive than our numbers are our people. The work they do in facilities new and old will permit continued growth of our research program, reflecting our ongoing commitment to research and to Change the Outcome for children around the world.
In our 2007 annual report you will find in-depth information from each department.
