Meet some of our researchers and leaders and learn about why they chose Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. Research interest: studying the molecular genetics that drive lung cancer.

“Here, there’s a closer connection between clinical and basic scientific research than anywhere else I’ve seen,” she says. “In our division many people do both. We all recognize that research is important, and is really the way we move our field forward.”
Research interests: neonatology, developmental biology and congenital defects.

“It’s inspiring,” she says of the relationship between research and clinical medicine at Cincinnati Children’s. “It energizes you a little more – whatever you’re working on in the lab, you know there’s someone working on it on the clinical side.”
Research interest: studying the genes known to play a role in cervical cancer.

“The thing that attracted me up front was that there was such a wide variety of research opportunities. The vast array was probably what first drew my attention,” she says. “Just seeing how your research can affect the lives of little children, that was another thing that interested me.”
