Target Amplification Protocols
The Core offers multiple target amplification protocols for the preparation of biotin- labeled target. The following table indicates which protocols are available based upon one’s preference of array type. Furthermore, when selecting a protocol one must consider both the quality and quantity of the starting RNA.

* When using the Affymetrix Whole Transcript Sense Target Labeling Assay to prepare target cDNA for hybridization to an Exon ST 1.0 Array, Affymetrix strongly recommends the use of the rRNA Reduction Protocol. The minimum required amount of starting total RNA is 1ug. There will be an additional $25 per sample fee.
