Animal Behavior Core

  • Animal Behavioral Core

The Animal Behavioral Core, a facility in the Division of Neurology at Cincinnati Children’s, offers behavioral phenotyping of rodent models for principal investigators (PIs) at Cincinnati Children’s and the University of Cincinnati. Through the use of behavioral assays, we help PIs characterize the nervous system function in mouse and rat models.

The Animal Behavioral Core is designed as a collaborative partner for PIs interested in determining the functional phenotype of their experimental animal models. There is no fee for our services. Our goal is to provide a convenient resource for PIs to produce in-depth characterization and analysis of their animal models, making them more effective research tools for future studies.
