The Cincinnati Biorepository Core Facility
The mission of the Cincinnati Biobank is to establish the prerequisite infrastructure to expedite cutting edge translational research at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and the University of Cincinnati by providing:
- Biostorage: Standardized, high quality storage of biological research samples in well maintained and monitored facilities
- Software: BTM sample tracking software to ensure accurate accounting of samples
- Biosamples: Access to a preexisting collection of tissue samples through the Pathology Biorepository
- Bioprocessing: Collection, processing, storage and distribution of samples for investigator initiated research
- Technical Expertise: Dedicated experts for biobanking activities
