- Purpose The Animal Behavioral Collaborative Core facility, located in the

Child Policy Research Center

- Purpose Provides non-invasive cardiac ultrasound imaging in support of animal and human research studies The Laboratory personnel can image a variety of animals including mice, rabbits, dogs, sheep, and pigs. In addition, fetal lamb and embryonic mice imaging can be performed. In support of human research, echocardiography can be performed on human fetuses, neonates, infants, children and adults. In all cases, complete cardiac anatomic detail is provided. In addition, quantitative assessment of cardiac geometry, systolic function, diastolic function and vascular function is made.

- Purpose Performs simultaneous analysis of expression levels of tens of thousands of genes using high density oligonucleotide microarrays, with over one million hybridization features per gene chip. Uses commercial Affymetrix microarrays that are highly redundant, with 22 separate hybridization squares per gene. Available for mapping of single nucleotide polymorphisms for use in the mapping of disease loci and for performing re-sequencing.
