2-laser, 4-color, FSC and SSC. This instrument is run by a Mac using CellQuest Pro software.

3-laser, 10-color, FSC and SSC. This instrument is run by a PC using FACSDiVa software.

2-laser, 6-color, FSC and SSC. This instrument is run by a PC using FACSDiVa software.
BD FACSCanto II - See configuration
2-laser, 6-color, FSC and SSC. This instrument is run by a PC using FACSDiVa software.
BD FACSCanto 3-Laser with FACSLoader - See configuration
3-laser, 10-color, FSC and SSC. This instrument is run by a PC using FACSDiVa software.
A FACSLoader carousel is available for this instrument for automated tube sampling.
Note: Only the following BD Falcon tubes can be used on our instruments. BD Cat. No. 352058, 352052, 352008, 352235. Any other tube will damage the instrument!
Scheduling
After training, you can schedule time using the Research Equipment Booking System. Times of >4hrs must be approved by flow core staff.
Location
R5524: LSR II, FACSCalibur and FACSCanto 3-laser
R5529: FACSCanto and FACSCanto II
R5524 is a BL1 room. Please, do not bring samples considered BL2 into this room.
R5529 is a BL2 room, therefore the door must be kept closed at all times.
These rooms are available 24/7.
Fees
Cost for using the analyzers is $40/hour rounded up to the nearest half-hour.

Technical Support
Sarah Croswell (T, W 9am-5pm, and Th 9am-1pm) can be reached at 636-3575 in room 5543. Monica DeLay, Tristan Bourdeau or Xiaoling Zhang can be reached at 636-2770 or 636-3575. They are usually in the sorting room R5001. Sherry Thornton can be reached at 636-1318 in room 5565.
After hours call BD at 1-877-232-8995 option 2. You will need to provide the instrument’s serial # located on the instrument.
Data Storage
A project drive has been set up for FACS data called ‘RFCC-FACSDATA’. Directions on how to access the project drive will be provided at training or contact Sarah Croswell at 636-3575 for assistance. Refer to our Data Management policy for further information.
Data Analysis
Any time spent on the acquisition computers is considered billable time. However, computers with FACSDiva, CellQuestPro and FlowJo are available for data analysis free of charge to flow core users in R5543.
