ImageStream
The ImageStream imaging flow cytometer combines the visual power of microscopy with the speed and sensitivity of flow cytometry by digitally imaging cells directly in flow. See Configuration. For more information visit the Amnis web site.

Scheduling
After you have been trained by the appropriate person above, you can schedule time using the Research Equipment Booking System. If you are not a CCHMC employee, email help@bmi.cchmc.org to gain access to the booking system.
Sample Preparation and Protocols
Download the Sample Preparation Guide for information on experimental design, instrument configuration, and the protocol for cell preparation. Samples are run using 0.5 ml microfuge tubes. Visit the Amnis web site for application notes and protocols.
Location
The instrument is located within R5543 which is locked after working hours. If you need access to this room outside of the normal working day, please let us know. This is a BL1 room. Do not bring any samples considered BL2 into this room.
Fees
We will begin charging for ImageStream use beginning October 1st, 2009. Usage is $20/hour and is monitored using WatchDog software.
Technical Support
Sarah Croswell (T, W 9am-5pm, and Th 9am - 1pm) can be reached at 636-3575 in R5543. Monica DeLay, Tristan Bourdeau or Xiaoling Zhang can be reached at 636-2770 or 636-3575. They are usually in the sorting room R5001. Sherry Thornton can be reached at 636-1318 in room 5565.

Data Storage
A project drive has been set up for ImageStream data called ‘RFCC-ImageStream’. Contact Monica DeLay at 6-3575 for access. During acquisition the data will be stored on the analysis computer, you will then transfer your data to your folder on RFCC-ImageStream where it can be analyzed from any computer running the IDEAS software application.
Software
For analysis of ImageStream data, there is a PC workstation located next to the instrument with the IDEAS software package. If you would like to install a copy of IDEAS on your PC, please contact us. IDEAS will also run on a Mac with dual boot capability.
