Humanized Mouse Resource

The Humanized Mouse Resource (HMR) is a highly collaborative resource that provides a unique combination of services and mouse strains to assist in the generation of humanized mouse models to fit various needs. Both normal (Umbilical Cord Blood) and malignant (Leukemic or solid tumor) models can be generated in NSG, NSGS, NRG, and NRGS mice. Expertise in primary human hematopoietic stem / progenitor and leukemic cell culture and manipulation is also available.

The goals of the HMR are to:

  1. Establish, characterize, and distribute PDX models of pediatric leukemia and related disorders (currently over 150 available)
  2. Provide technical advice on design and implementation of xenograft and human hematopoietic culture experiments
  3. Perform parts of or entire xenograft experiments
  4. Develop necessary xenograft or culture tools, reagents, and methods to support collaborative projects
  5. Continue to make innovative advances in PDX technology with particular focus on new genomic approaches, models of immune therapy, and precision targeted therapies.
