Imaging Research Center

  • Imaging Research Center

The Department of Radiology’s Imaging Research Center (IRC) is an interdisciplinary research laboratory that investigates medical imaging’s role in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases in children and young adults. We provide investigators at Cincinnati Children’s, the University of Cincinnati and other research institutions access to advanced analytical imaging and image post-processing methods. Our goal is to provide collaborating researchers with the tools needed to achieve their research goals.

Comprehensive Imaging Research, Education and Resources

The IRC works to achieve multiple goals. We conduct original research in new methods and applications of diagnostic imaging modalities such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in pediatric and adolescent medicine. We consult with investigators and enhance their research through access to state-of-the-art imaging technology and techniques. And our education programs train researchers, clinicians, fellows and students in the use of diagnostic imaging in research.

  • Services

We offer a number of key resources for investigators whose work could be enhanced by imaging technology.
