  • Use our Services

The Laser Capture Microdissection Core at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is in the pediatric surgery laboratory on the fifth floor of Location R, Room 5409. For more information about Laser Capture Microdissection, contact Xiaonan Han, PhD, at 513-636-7592.

The equipment is straightforward to operate, but training will be needed. Han and his technicians will provide training on the operation of the instrument and are  available to supply general technical advice on the preparation of samples.

Time on the Laser Capture Microdissection will be reserved for investigators and members of the departments that have contributed to the purchase of the instrument in proportion to their contribution. The proportion covered by the Research Foundation and any unused time will be open to all researchers on a first-come, first-serve basis. The only direct cost associated with the operation of the Microdissection is tube caps containing the transfer film. Each researcher using the Microdissection will be required to purchase caps. (A box of 48 caps is $160.)
