Patient Care Activities

The patient care activities in the Division of Allergy and Immunology include over 6,000 outpatient visits each year and the care of over 1,500 patients with Asthma. We offer inpatient and outpatient consultations for asthma, food allergy, drug allergy, and other allergic diseases. The division offers pulmonary functions tests, allergen skin tests, food provocation studies and allergy immunizations.

The goals of the Division of Allergy and Immunology at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center are to conduct basic and clinical studies into the causes and best treatment of allergic disorders and research focused on airway responses to allergen provocation, mechanisms of eosinophil trafficking and recruitment to the lung and gastrointestinal trace as well as genetic pre-disposition toward sensitization and allergic inflammatory response.
