Overview
The Cincinnati Pediatric Research Group (CPRG) is a Midwest regional practice-based research network of 48 community child health care providers in 21 practices. Founded in 1996, the CPRG is based in Greater Cincinnati and is supported by Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center as well as grants from various funding agencies.
The CPRG operates under the philosophy that practice-based pediatricians must have the latitude to determine the focus and design of studies conducted by the group. This philosophy fosters community participation and results in studies that are more meaningful and relevant to the region as a whole.
Pursuing projects with applications to clinical practice, the CPRG has conducted studies in the areas of ADD/ADHD, otitis media, obesity and domestic violence.
