Geiger Lab

Meet the Laboratory Members

Meet the members of the Geiger Lab as they perform their day-to-day work.

Kalpana Nattamai is analyzing data from a quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (q-PCR). This method allows the lab to quantify the expression of DNA-repair genes in hematopoietic stem cells.

Deidre Daria starts the flow-cytometry machine to perform an analysis of retroviral-transduced hematopoietic progenitor cells. The cells she will be analyzing overexpress a transgene important for hematopoietic stem cell mobilization.

Brad Wells is loading an agarose gel to analyze his plasmid constructs that will eventually lead to knock-down of the expression of target genes by siRNA.

The members of the Geiger Lab get together for the weekly meeting to discuss their research findings and to put the results into perspective.
