Primary Care Services
The Division of General and Community Pediatrics, through its primary care practice sites, provides primary pediatric care to children from birth to adolescents. The medical care provided and conditions treated by the General and Community Pediatrics Division at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center include:
Children requiring specialty care will be accessed and referred on to an appropriate provider.
The Pediatric Primary Care Center (PPC) is located on the first floor of Location A on the main campus of Cincinnati Children's. The PPC is open from 8:30 am to 8:30 pm Monday through Friday and from 9:00 am to noon on Saturdays and Sundays.
Hopple Street Neighborhood Health Center
Hopple Street is conveniently located at 2750 Beekman Ave (at the corner of Hopple and Beekman) in North Fairmont. Hopple Street is open from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday and from 8:30 am to noon on Saturdays.
Both the PPC and Hopple Street have Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA) designations and are Resident training sites.
The physicians and staff at both locations are TouchPoints™ trained and utilize TouchPoints™ as their framework for delivering family-centered care. As leaders in delivering primary care, both sites utilize the IMPACT state-wide immunization registry to improve the immunization status of the children they serve. Current process improvements are focusing on Asthma Care and the development and implementation of an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) in 2004.
