Research
Molecular pathophysiology of Wolman Disease and cholesteryl ester storage disease:
To evaluate the role of lysosomal acid lipase in cholesterol and fat acid metabolism in vivo using gene targeted mouse model; to study the pathogenesis of lysosomal acid lipase deficiency to Wolman disease and cholesteryl ester storage disease; and to test the gene therapy in this animal model.
