Raisa Klevitsky, MD, received her medical degree in Russia. She is expert at the various surgical procedures undertaken by the lab and also performs the isolated working heart preparations on the mouse in order to ascertain physiological function in an isolated system. Dr. Klevitsky also organizes the histological sectioning portions of the different projects and provides expert anatomical interpretation.raisa.klevitstky@cchmc.org
Dr. S. Sakthivel received his PhD in India, studied in Germany and entered the lab as a post-doctoral fellow. Sakthi is exploring how adrenergic signaling converges on the contractile apparatus through phosphorylation of the contractile proteins.sadayappan.sakthivel@cchmc.org
Ms. Kritton Shay-Winkler is our animal technician and is responsible for maintaining the colonies that support well over 2 million dollars in research. These include the genetically engineered mice and rabbits.kritton.winkler@cchmc.org

Tomoki Nakamura, MD, received his degree in Japan and entered the laboratory as a post-doctoral fellow. Dr. Nakamura is studying the molecular underpinnings of valve formation, particularly in terms of the receptor tyrosine kinase pathways.tomoki.nakamura@cchmc.org
