Dr. Alina Maloyan comes to us from Israel where she received her PhD. Alina is working on understanding how the heart responds to stress through the actions of particular proteins called chaperones.alina.maloyan@cchmc.org
Carmen Quatman received her BS last year and was introduced to the basic research in the lab during a summer American Heart Association Fellowship. Carmen functioned as one of our Research Associates, helping to carry out the technical aspects for a number of the ongoing experimental programs. Carmen entered medical school in the fall of 2004 as an MD/PhD, a pathway that a number of technical staff have followed in the lab. Alternative pathways and inventive professional development are integral parts of a research experience in the Robbins' lab.carmen.quatman@cchmc.org
Dr. Hanna Osinska received her PhD in Poland. Hanna is a world expert in transmission electron microscopy and has also developed a real talent for pushing confocal microscopy to the forefront of the laboratory's experimental repertoire. Dr. Osinska aids the entire lab in applying these powerful imaging tools to understanding the animal models' behaviors at the cell and subcellular levels.hanna.osinska@cchmc.org
Dr. Jeanne James, MD is a Board certified Pediatric Cardiologist and, in addition to her basic research program, does service in the Division of Pediatric Cardiology. Dr. James is expert in measuring cardiovascular function and has melded this with the tools of molecular genetics to explore structure-function relationships in the contractile proteins.jeanne.james@cchmc.org
