Education and Training

The Division of Neonatology, in collaboration with the Divisions of Perinatal Biology and Pulmonary Biology, offers ample research opportunities for clinical fellows in Neonatology. The collaborative laboratories of the section also train graduate students, MD-PhD students, and postdoctoral fellows. The goal of our division is to train the next generation of physician-scientists by providing the appropriate groundwork for a career in academic medicine. Neonatology fellows choose from a variety of clinical or basic science research projects based on their interests and are guided by a research mentor in their chosen area.

Some graduating fellows have also completed postdoctoral fellowships in the Procter Scholar Program, where physician scientists can obtain substantial additional exposure and experience in a basic science laboratory.

Fellow applicants interested in taking advantage of the broad array of research opportunities offered in our division should apply to the Neonatology Fellowship Training Program.
