Correction of Scoliosis

Over the past nine years, the Division of Orthopaedics at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center has made major efforts concentrated on the development of a safe, secure and cost-effective semi-rigid segmental fixation system for surgical correction of idiopathic scoliosis and other spinal deformities in children.  The mechanical construct was well accepted in orthopaedic circles and is being used throughout North America, as well as in some European and South American countries. We have recently, in cooperation with Dupuy Spine, completed the development of an anterior implant to correct spinal deformities in children.
