Measurement of Executive Functioning in Children
Investigations into the measurement of higher-level skills that have been called "executive functions" include:
- Development and validation of a short-form of the Behavior Rating Inventory of Executive Functioning (BRIEF) for use in clinical screening and large-sample research. Data from the original BRIEF normative set, as well as unpublished data from samples of children referred for clinical evaluations, are being used to demonstrate the reliability, validity, and potential utility of such a short form.
