Overview
Patricia McDonough Ryan, PhD, is a pediatric neuropsycholgist and assistant professor in the Division of Behavioral Medicine and Cinical Psychology. She is a co-investigator on a longitudinal investigation of the neurobehavioral late-effects in pediatric patients treated for brain tumors. This research is funded through a R01 by the National Cancer Institute and includes a multidisciplinary team of researchers from Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and Columbus Children's Hospital.
Dr. Ryan hopes that her current and future research will lead to a better understanding of the long term neurodevelopment and neuropsychological changes in pediatric brain tumor patients treated with radiotherapy. Improving our understanding of the developmental changes will facilitate an improvement in treatment/interventions.
