First Years Project Research Staff

Angelique Teeters

Angelique Teeters is the senior research coordinator for Dr. Ammerman’s lab. She received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology in May, 2008 and is currently completing the requirements for her doctorate at Xavier University. She has been with Dr. Ammerman’s lab since May 2006 and is currently working on the First Years Project. In this position, she has assisted in the development of study databases, collection and analysis of data, and coordinating various aspects of the study. Working on this project has given Angelique the opportunity to continue to build on her research skills. In addition, it has provided her with an opportunity to engage in clinical interactions with study participants thereby utilizing clinical skills she is learning as part of her graduate work.

In addition to her work in Dr. Ammerman’s lab and her graduate studies, Angelique is also an adjunct faculty member at the College of Mt. St. Joseph where she teaches undergraduate psychology courses. Her plans upon receiving her doctorate include clinical work with children, teaching, and research in the areas of infant and early childhood mental health and maternal depression.

Nicole Bosse

Nicole is a Research Coordinator III for the Mother and Infant Depression Improvement Study (MIDIS) under Dr. Rober Ammerman. She started at Cincinnati Children's as a Research Assistant II in May of 2008. She was promoted to Research Coordinator III in November of 2008. As part of her role, Nicole assesses and tracks new mothers who are a part of Every Child Succeeds for post-partum depression.

Nicole obtained her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology in May of 2009 from the University of Dayton. Her Master's thesis is titled "Do certain family and personality factors moderate the effects of thin-ideal media on body image?" During her graduate training, Nicole worked at the Nova House Association, which is a treatment facility for adults with substance abuse / dependence.

Nicole obtained her Bachelor’s degree in 2005 from the University of Cincinnati and graduated Magna Cum Laude with Departmental Honors in Psychology.

Nicole was accepted in Xavier's Clinical Psychology Psy.D program where she will begin classes this fall!

Alayna Tackett

Alayna Tackett is a Research Assistant II for the First Year’s Project with Dr. Ammerman’s lab. In this position, she assists with the collection and analysis of data, as well as other various aspects of the study. Working on this project has given Alayna a unique experience and an opportunity to expand her interests within Psychology and research. She received her Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Psychology in May, 2009. Additionally, before Alayna became a member of Dr. Ammerman’s Lab, she was a member of several honor societies and a research volunteer with the Center of Adherence Promotion and Self-Management. Alayna also completed a Senior Honor's Thesis that examined perceptions of stress and abuse in interpersonal workplace behaviors.
