Beebe Lab
Dr. Beebe is a pediatric neuropsychologist who is interested in the impact of medical conditions on children's neuropsychological functioning. He has a particular interest in sleep as an outcome in pediatric neurological disorders, and as a cause or contributor to neuropsychological dysfunction among otherwise healthy and neurologically impaired children. He has ongoing investigations into several topics:
- The effects of sleep and sleep pathology on the brain and on neuropsychological functioning of children
- Sleep and neuropsychological functioning among children with neurological illnesses (e.g. eplilepsy) or injuries (e.g. traumatic brain injury), or with medical conditions that can affect the brain (e.g. lupus)
- Measurement of higher-level skills that have been called "executive functions"
