Research Highlights

Clinical Activities

The Aerodigestive Center has now become nationally and internationally recognized for the quality of its care. The majority of patients referred to the center come from out of state and overseas.

The Cystic Fibrosis Center has been actively involved in the Pursuing Perfection project and has demonstrated significant improvement in nutritional and pulmonary function outcomes since the implementation of the process.

The Bronchology Center, under the leadership of Dr. Robert Wood, has become the largest pediatric center in the world to evaluate complex airway patients.

The Sleep Disorder Center has become the largest pediatric program in the country. The center receives 60 to 70 new referrals per month, and performs 1,500 polysomnographies per year. The center has approved plans for expanding the clinical service of the program by integrating with other disciplines such as neurology. The new Sleep Laboratory will be placed in proximity to the Neurotelemetry Unit to enhance their clinical care and research.
