Computer-Based Systems
Members of the faculty continue to work and develop new computer-based systems. Planning for the infracture for PACS (picture archiving communication systems) has been a priority. We have expanded teleradiology systems to four sites and interpret images in a timely manner. We have extensively expanded clinical hours of faculty coverage to both performing and interpreting images in the evening to meet the needs of working parents. The department has significantly improved report turn-around time and attempts have been made to stream line processes, and extensively cross-train technologists.
