Bio

Janet L. Strife was an active member of the faculty for 30 years and was Radiologist-In-Chief of the Radiology Department from 1992-2002. She received her BA from Oberlin College and her MD from New Jersey School of Medicine. Dr. Strife's radiology training was at the University of Cincinnati and the Johns Hopkins Hospital, including two Pediatric Radiology Fellowships, one at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center with Fred Silverman, M.D. and the second at Johns Hopkins Hospital with John Dorst, M.D.

Dr. Strife has special interests in ultrasound and integrated imaging. She participates in the core curriculum teaching for residents and fellows throughout the year. Her most recent interests include radiology education, changing and enhancing the residency programs, and ACGME issues.

Dr. Strife is active in many hospital and national organizations. She currently is active in the Radiology Residency Review Committee of the ACGME, a member of the American Board of Radiology, and Past-President of the Society for Pediatric Radiology (2001) and Past President for the Association of Program Directors in Radiology (2003).
