Principal Investigators
About Susmita Kashikar-Zuck, PhD
About T. Brent Graham, MD

Juvenile Fibromyalgia is a complex disorder of unclear etiology, but with substantial impact on quality of life. Little is known about the impact of fibromyalgia in a pediatric population and the most effective treatments for this disabling condition. Susmita Kashikar-Zuck, PhD, T. Brent Graham, MD, and colleagues are investigating the impacts of fibromyalgia on the psychosocial functioning of adolescents as well as possible approaches to treatment.

The specific aims of the study are to assess the impact of fibromyalgia symptoms on:

  • Psychosocial functioning
  • Peer relationships
  • Family functioning

Findings will be compared to matched classroom controls or peers.
