Resources
The Rheumatology Division at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center suggests contacting the local chapter of the Arthritis Foundation. in or near your community to obtain information about the Juvenile Arthritis Alliance (JAA).
The Juvenile Arthritis Alliance, which also has many chapters across the United States, is a national council which focuses on meeting the special needs of children with rheumatic arthritis conditions, their families and health professionals.
In addition to publishing informative brochures, video tapes and a quarterly newsletter, the JAA is also an advocate on both state and national legislative levels. An annual national conference each summer provides an opportunity for families to get together to learn and share. Please ask your social worker or nurse for membership information.
