R. Randall Wickett, Ph.D.

Ph.D.: Oregon State University.

Dr. Wickett is an expert in the development and application of biophysical techniques for the noninvasive evaluation of the skin and hair. He is particularly knowledgeable in the areas of skin pharmaceuticals and cosmetic science.

Research

Dr. Wickett's responsibility for the research and education programs in cosmetic science have resulted in his active participation with the skin and hair care industries to evaluate product effects and to substantiate product claims. His professional associations include program chair for the International Society of Bioengineering and the Skin and editor of the Journal of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists.

Special Interests

He is interested in skin penetration mechanisms and in advancing the capability to fully characterize human skin condition as a function of race and age with objective instrumentation.

Editor of the Journal of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists.

Honors

Dr. Wickett has received several Society of Cosmetic Chemists awards for best publications and presentations. His expertise in the use of noninvasive biophysical techniques to characterize and evaluate the skin is one of the unique and central features of the Skin Sciences Institute.
