Jason is the lab manager and also oversees the mouse colony. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Molecular Biology/Biotechnology from Clarion University of Pennsylvania and his Master’s Degree in Microbiology from Miami University (Ohio). Jason plays rhythm guitar in the CBDI band Bandemia.
Lynn is a third-year clinical fellow in pediatric hematology/oncology. He is currently studying the biology of MAP kinase activation and additional gene mutations found in Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis. He is also investigating novel gene mutations involved in the pathogenesis of severe congenital neutropenia. Lynn is the keyboard player for the CBDI band Bandemia.
Lana is a research fellow and she joined the lab in 2013. Lana is originally from Israel and she obtained her PhD degree in Cell and Developmental Biology at Tel-Aviv University. Lana’s current project is related to the studying the role of RNA-processing proteins in leukemia aiming to find new candidates for therapies. Outside of the lab Lana likes hiking and enjoys spending time with her family.
Gabriel was born in Puerto Rico, were he obtained his Bachelor’s degree in science at the University of Puerto Rico in Rio Piedras. He is currently working toward his PhD in Pathobiology and Molecular Medicine. Gabriel’s experiments delineated the regulation of oxidative metabolism and HLF in MLL-fusion leukemia (Roychoudhary et al, Blood, 2015). He is currently studying the role and mechanism of novel targets of the MLL-fusion proteins and how they contribute to the pathogenesis of the disease.
Matt will graduate from the University of Cincinnati in 2016 and hopes to continue to medical school with hopes of moving into oncology.
