    Mounira A. Habli, MD

    Dr. Mounira Habli specializes in maternal-fetal medicine. She is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine. Dr. Habli earned her medical degree at the American University of Beirut, Beirut, Lebanon in 1998. Dr. Habli completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. She completed her fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine at the University of Cincinnati in 2009 as well as earning a Master’s of Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the University of Cincinnati. Dr. Habli is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine, the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, the Cincinnati OB/Gyn Society.  Dr. Habli is currently affiliated with Tri-State Maternal-Fetal Medicine Associates as well as a staff physician at the Cincinnati Fetal Center at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.

    Her research interests include fetal medical and surgical therapy, fetal growth restriction, placental gene therapy, fetal gene programming, congenital malformation, multiple gestational and fetal ultrasound.

    Khaled Omar, MD

    Dr. Omar earned his medical degree from Kasr El Aini College of Medicine, Cairo University with the highest grade and honor. Dr. Omar joined the CFCMT in 2011 as a post-doctoral research fellow. Dr. Omar is examining the cellular and molecular mechanisms that underlie the development of adult onset of disease in the growth restricted newborn. Dr. Omar is also examining intra-placental gene therapy as a potential therapy for fetal reprogramming, alleviating the risk of adult disease.

    In this time, Dr. Omar has given no less than 12 presentations at national and international venues. He has received numerous awards for his research, including the prestigious Research Excellence Award from the Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine in 2012, the Best of the Research Poster Award, the Basic Cardiovascular Research Award for the scientific session, and the High Blood Pressure Research Award for the American Heart Association in 2012. Dr. Omar was also awarded the Kidney Counsel New investigator Award for the American Heart Association in 2013 and the Young investigator Travel Award for the International Federation of Placental Associations in 2013.
