Principal Investigator Phone: email@example.comGeraldine Guasch is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Department of Developmental Biology. She received a BS/MS (diploma) in Biochemistry from University of Montpellier, France in 1997. She then moved to University of Aix-Marseille, France in 1997 and received her Ph.D. in Immunology/Oncology in January 2002. She received a Human Frontier Science Program Post-doctoral Fellowship in 2002 while at Rockefeller University in New York City. She joined Cincinnati Children’s Hospital in November 2008.
Geraldine Guasch has recently been named the 2011 Sidney Kimmel Scholar and the 2011 V Foundation Scholar.
Alyssa received her B.S. in Biology from Xavier University in Cincinnati. During her undergraduate career, she studied the transcription factors Osr1 and Osr2 and their role during lung specification in Xenopus under the direction of Dr. Aaron Zorn at Cincinnati Children’s Research Foundation.
Sarah received her Associate of Science from Cincinnati State Technical and Community College in June 2011. Sarah completed her co-op with the lab in From Feb. – April 2011.
Marion received her License in Biological Science (Molecular Biology and Genetics). She is performing her internship in the Guasch lab to receive her Master’s degree at the Biotechnology Engineering Graduate Program ESIL, Marseille, France.
Hanane received her License in Genetic and is performing her internship in the Guasch lab to receive her Master’s degree in Biology/Genetics at the University Paris Diderot (Paris 7), France.

Heather received her BA in Biological Sciences and BS in Kinesiology in 2007 at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA. While there, she studied the molecular mechanisms of fatty acid metabolism in skeletal muscle under the supervision of Dr. Lorraine Turcotte.
Heather was awarded Outstanding 3rd year student presentation at the Molecular and Developmental Biology Student Symposium in September 2011. At the Developmental Mechanisms, Organogenesis and Stem Cells Annual Retreat, Heather received 1st prize (of 60) in the poster competition in April 2012 and 3rd prize (of 55) in the poster competition in April 2011.

Laura received her BS in Biological Sciences in 2005 from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, OH. She then received her Master’s degree in Microbial Genetics at the University of Cincinnati in December 2008. Laura joined the Guasch lab in January 2009 studying the developmental alterations of human cloacas. Laura recently won 1st prize (of 60) at the Developmental Sciences Annual Retreat in April 2012.
