Dr. Kim Yolton

Kimberly (Kim) Yolton, PhD, directs the HOME Study and is one of the principal investigators.  She has worked on the study since it began in 2001.  She is a developmental psychologist and epidemiologist interested in exposures and experiences that may change the trajectory of development for children.  Most of her time is spent on the HOME Study in which she examines exposures to environmental toxicants such as tobacco smoke, pesticides and industrial chemicals.  She also collaborates with other investigators on other studies examining things like prenatal exposure to stress and drugs of abuse and later infant and child development.

Dr. Yingying Xu

Dr. Xu is a biostatistician who joined the HOME Study team in 2002. She earned a bachelor of engineering from Tsinghua University, a master of art and science from the University of Cincinnati, and her PhD from the University of Cincinnati. Her main responsibilities include performing statistical analyses, reviewing grant proposals and working with the data systems.

Anna Drees

Anna is a clinical research coordinator who joined the HOME Study team in 2017. Anna earned a bachelor of arts from Mount St. Joseph University and a master of arts from The Ohio State University. Her main responsibilities include management of lab samples, creating survey databases, and leading coordination on sample inventory and shipping.

Katelyn Lutz

Katelyn is a clinical research coordinator who joined the HOME Study team in 2016. Katelyn earned a bachelor of arts from Mount St. Joseph University and is a licensed social worker in the state of Ohio. Her main responsibilities include student supervision, leading recruitment efforts, completing study visits, and management of lab samples.

Melinda MacDougall

Melinda is a database programmer who joined the HOME Study team in 2019. She earned a bachelor of science from Central Michigan University and a master of science from the University of Michigan. Her main responsibilities include development of databases and quality processes, data integration and curation, and database programming of analytical datasets.

Katie Sawvell

Katie is a clinical research coordinator who joined the HOME Study team in 2021. Katie earned a bachelor of science from Northern Kentucky University and is currently pursuing a master of science at University of Cincinnati. Her main responsibilities include completing study visits, regulatory items, and handling supply inventory.

Tianna joined the HOME Study team in 2022 as a student worker. She is currently pursuing a bachelor of science from Northern Kentucky University. Her main responsibilities include preparing for study visits, data entry, and assisting in lab tasks.

Stacey Woeste Siemer

Stacey is a supervisor of clinical research who joined the HOME Study team in 2016. Stacey earned a bachelor of arts from Ohio Dominican University and a master of arts from Northern Kentucky University. Aside from leading study coordination efforts, she manages the study budget and supervises study staff.
