Multidisciplinary Clinical Research Center
Advancing Clinical Research through Collaboration
The Multidisciplinary Clinical Research Center (MCRC) in the Division of Rheumatology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center takes a unique approach to investigating pediatric rheumatic disease. Through collaboration with experts in many disciplines at Cincinnati Children’s, we are able to study rheumatic disease with a comprehensive, cross-disciplinary approach.
Our research projects, funded by a grant from the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS), embody that philosophy: each one involves at least two interdisciplinary partners, and their areas of investigation could deliver groundbreaking results in both the lab and clinic.
Along with our internal research, we offer a Methodology Core that enhances and promotes interdisciplinary collaboration throughout Cincinnati Children’s. The Methodology Core holds great promise for researchers at Cincinnati Children’s; not only will it help integrate new perspectives into the Division of Rheumatology’s research, but it will nurture new approaches to research across all of the hospital’s many divisions.
