At Cincinnati Children’s Research Foundation, research doesn’t happen in a vacuum. Our culture of interdisciplinary collaboration is known throughout the medical research community, and we’re proud of how easily our investigators cross the clinical-research boundary.
The Methodology Core of the Multidisciplinary Clinical Research Center (MCRC) nurtures research at Cincinnati Children’s through a number of support initiatives. Whether clinical investigators need assistance defining a hypothesis, ensuring data integrity or finding collaborators from other disciplines, we can help.
Researcher SupportThe Methodology Core helps clinical investigators obtain conceptual, practical and technical support for methodological and biostatistical investigation. We can assist you with:
Drug and Safety MonitoringThe Methodology Core supports the design and implementation of data and safety monitoring processes for MCRC clinical trials. We develop and review mechanisms for ensuring data integrity, participant and data confidentiality and security, and mechanisms for monitoring and reporting adverse effects.
Interdisciplinary Clinical ResearchThe methodology core continues to play an integral and extensive role in promotion of interdisciplinary research by its involvement in the P-30 Cincinnati Core Center grant. By promoting communication among the Research Foundation’s different cores, the Methodology Core promotes and encourages a collaborative approach to clinical research.
