Matthew R. Skelton
Research Associate
Dr. Skelton’s research is focused on the effects of the loss of the creatine transporter (CrT) on CNS function. He created a line of CrT knockout mice to investigate the role it may play in mental retardation and X-linked intellectual disability. He will examine how CrT loss and absence of Cr in the brain affect neuronal plasticity, cytoarchitecture, brain development and other behaviors
