    My current research examines the role of c-Met (a receptor for HGF) on the regulation of uterine decidualization and angiogenesis in implantation; characterization of uterine epithelial-stromal communication for proliferation using a co-culture system by ovarian hormone dependent regulation; the role of H19 by its genetic deletion in reversing the fertility defect in Hoxa10 null mice; and the role of nucleolar protein Sik-SP on estrogen-regulated epithelial cell proliferation.

    I am working on a developmental program for polycomb repressive complex 1 (PRC1) dependent regulation of uterine stromal cell decidualization in implantation induced by natural estrogen or xenoestrogenic compounds. Studies will also discover PRC1-dependent global gene regulation in decidual cells during the early pregnancy.

    For almost two decades, my research has primarily been focused on defining the molecular basis of uterine growth and differentiation during early pregnancy, with special emphasis on the signaling mechanisms of estrogen and progesterone receptors, growth factors, cell-cycle regulators, and non-genomic estrogenic functions without involving classical estrogen receptors.
