Mike Borowczak

Co-op Student, UC Engineering

Mike has a BS in Computer Engineering, and is currently a PhD candidate in Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Cincinnati, with a research focus in the detection and protection of information leakage within large data sets. His current work in the lab involves the rapid, parallelized detection and matching of transcription binding motifs as well as providing simple, intuitive web-based interfaces to our labs custom tool sets.

Xiaoting Chen

Co-op Student, UC Engineering

Xiaoting is currently a PhD candidate in Electrical Engineering at University of Cincinnati. His research role at Dr. Weirauch's lab falls within the field of functional genomics and DNA sequence analysis, mainly for Transcription Factor binding and its prediction.

Yuan Li

Master's student, Immunobiology

Yuan Li is a master student  in the  Immunobiology program, who is now working on transcriptional mechanism underlying elevated IL-10 expression level in EBV infected SLE patients in Center of Autoimmune Genetic and Etiology, and shadowing John Harley and Matthew Weirauch.

Tuhin Mukherjee

Co-op Student, UC Engineering)

Tuhin obtained his Bachelor’s degree from WBUT in Computer Science & Engineering in 2011. His research focuses on creating tools to analyze DNA sequences in order to determine binding patterns (dimers, specifically) for all of the known transcription factors.
