Any Cincinnati Children's Hospital employee or community physician on the Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Staff may request the following services from the library in person or by telephone, 513-636-5490, by fax, 513-559-9669, or by e-mail, prattlibrary@cchmc.org.
Document Delivery/Interlibrary Loan 
If the Pratt Library does not own a needed book or journal, copies of articles and loans of books will be obtained from other libraries.
Those who are using PubMed for searching the literature may request document delivery directly using PubMed's Loansome Doc feature.
Subject Research
Library staff members will research a requested subject using any of dozens of databases in many subject areas. We can prepare a reference list for you, track down elusive information, or provide two to three articles for background information.
Training
Library staff are happy to help you learn more about using the resources available to you. Informal orientation to the library, to resources available electronically, or to searching Medline can be done at any time. We will also make scheduled presentations to special groups, such as departmental meetings, on these topics.
Periodically, more formal classes are offered on electronic resources, database searching, support for evidence-based practice, and using EndNote bibliographic management software. Please contact the library for class dates and times.
The library also provides QuickGuides to help answer frequently-asked questions about special resources. QuickGuides are available on topics such as electronic clinical resources, document delivery, the Cochrane Library, OhioLINK access, searching help for PubMed and Ovid, developing search strategy, Science Citation Index searching, and the Loansome Doc feature on PubMed.

Publications
The Edward L. Pratt Library distributes by email on a bimonthly basis a list of new books which have arrived in the library and a list of recent scientific publications by Cincinnati Children's Hospital authors.
Each year the Edward L. Pratt Library publishes a compilation of all the publications authored in the Cincinnati Children's Research Foundation and reported in its annual report. The Studies of the Cincinnati Children's Research Foundation is a historical record of the research work done at Cincinnati Children's Research Foundation since its beginning in 1931.
