Elizabeth Hente, BA

Elizabeth Hente graduated from the University of Dayton in May 2007 with a Bachelor's of Arts in Psychology. She joined Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center in January 2008 as a research coordinator for Dr. Hommel's research on understanding and improving treatment regimen adherence in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), which includes two current studies. She is also involved in his research focusing on adherence to low magnitude mechanical stimuli and bone accretion in Crohn's disease, and adherence to fatty acid supplementation in cystic fibrosis.

Elizabeth's main responsibilities include assisting with recruitment and retention of study participants, performing clinical research duties according to established protocol, data collection, data management, supervision of databases, preliminary data analyses, and literature reviews. In the future, Elizabeth aspires to grow at Cincinnati Children's and learn from the fields of Pediatric and Clinical Health Psychology. She plans to work towards a Masters degree at the University of Cincinnati.


Shannon O'Dell

Shannon Odell, M.A. is currently attending Xavier University as a doctoral candidate in clinical psychology.  Originally from Seattle, WA, she received her B.A. from Gonzaga University. 

Her interests include pediatric psychology and she is assisting in the delivery of a telephone-based problem-solving behavioral intervention to improve adherence in the Healthy Vibrations and CF-Avanti studies.
