Lindsay Wilson
Lindsay Wilson graduated from Thomas More College in May 2005 with a BA in psychology. Since that time, she has worked with several investigators in the Division of Behavioral Medicine and Clinical Psychology including Meg Zeller, Ph.D., Nicolay Walz, Ph.D. and Brian Saelens, Ph.D.
Currently, she is a study coordinator for Dr. Korey Hood in the Center for the Promotion of Adherence and Self-Management. In this role, Lindsay coordinates recruitment and retention of adolescents with type 1 diabetes and their families in a two-year longitudinal study called the Pediatric Diabetes and Family (PDF) study. This study is being conducted to determine how emotional conditions impact diabetes management over time. Lindsay's experience, skills, and interests make her a perfect fit to coordinate this study.
Lindsay also currently coordinates research registration for the Psychology Department and for the Adherence Center.
In the future, Lindsay hopes to continue to develop her skills and refine her interests in graduate school.
Emily Sander
Emily Sander is a second year student in the Doctor of Psychology program at Xavier University. She is currently involved in the coordination and delivery of a psychosocial intervention geared towards adolescents managing type 1 diabetes. Emily's areas of interest include the prevention and treatment of eating disorders, coping with chronic and terminal illness, and the impact of the media on children.
Upon graduation she hopes to work with children, adolescents, and their families in the area of health management psychology
Shannon O'Dell
Shannon Odell, M.A. is currently attending Xavier University as a doctoral candidate in clinical psychology. Originally from Seattle, WA, she received her B.A. from Gonzaga University.
Her interests include pediatric psychology and she is assisting in the delivery of a psychosocial intervention for adolescents with type 1 diabetes and depression.
Ashley Neu
Ashley Neu, M.A. is currently a third-year student pursuing her doctorate in clinical psychology at Xavier University. Ashley has an important role as a group therapist on an intervention study aimed at improving psychological and family functioning in adolescents with type 1 diabetes.
Once Ashley finishes her graduate work, she plans to work with adolescents and young adults and specifically has interests in family work and eating disorders.
