Amy E. Cassedy, PhD

Amy Cassedy is a Research Associate at the Center for Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. Her current research interests include:

  • The effects of insurance instability on children's access to- and utilization of- health care
  • High resource utilization among children hospitalized with laboratory-confirmed influenza
  • The effects of patient compliance on children's health.

Previously, she was a project director/statistician for Ohio's Evaluation and Assessment Center for Mathematics and Science Education located at Miami University, where she was lead evaluator on projects funded by the United States Department of Education, the National Science Foundation, the Ohio Board of Regents, and the Ohio Department of Education.

Dr. Cassedy's academic experience includes research on social institutions and organizations as well as measurement and statistics. She has also worked for the City of Cincinnati in the Budget Office as well as the Internal Audit department.
