Undergraduate Training
With the growing amount of interest to provide quality research to families we are specifically seeking responsible, motivated students to work in the Adherence Center. For background on the Adherence Center please see the Mission Statement and Statement of Need and Purpose.
There are several research activities that volunteers can assist in that reflect ongoing research of individual faculty. A few of these projects include: assistance with lit reviews, recruitment, data collection, data sets, as well as helping to establish new protocols. There are several ways we are able to give back to our student volunteers. Some of the experiences we can offer are:
- Receive academic credit
- Receive mentorship from a professor in pediatric research
- If a volunteer follows through with their volunteer requirements and responsibilities, the faculty member may offer to write a letter of recommendation
- Attend the Department of Behavioral Medicine and Clinical Psychology's quarterly RA seminars (which the topic of several meetings cover information about graduate school and relevant jobs).
- Assistance with graduate school and job applications
- May potentially lead to career opportunities at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center
We are seeking individuals to dedicate 10-15 hours a week, for a total commitment of 6 weeks or greater. We understand how busy undergraduate student schedules' are, with trying to manage both school and work activities, therefore we are understanding/flexible of their time.
Students will also be required to obtain a badge from Cincinnati Children's.
