Bio

Gerry Fairbrother, PhD, is the Associate Director of the Child Policy Research Center. Her research areas include access and barriers to care, particularly for low-income children, and vaccine policies. She has led investigations on gaps and patterns of enrollment in child health insurance, barriers and cost to enroll in these programs, impact of Medicaid managed care on preventive screening for children, and impact of financial incentives on physician immunizing behavior. Dr. Fairbrother also directs the Health Services Research course in the Division of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the University of Cincinnati.
