Gene Expression and Sequencing Core
Director: Steve Potter, PhD
Microarray Service
Personnel will help with sample preparation, peform the hybridization, and scan the gene chip. For more information visit the Microarray Core Web page.
The core also provides ongoing user support and updates on Affymetrix data analysis software.

Note: There are two additional fees.
- $25 fee to test the quality of the RNA to be used for the gene chip analysis
- An approximate fee of $200 per sample to prepare the target RNA for hybridization to the microarray
Microarray Discount Policy for DHC Members
Each DHC investigator will receive a 50% discount on all chips with a dollar cap of $2,400 per fiscal year of the DHC grant.
First time microarray core users will have a one time increased dollar cap of $4,000.
Both dollar cap limits are dependent on the availability of funds.
Note: If you used the Microarray Service as a DDRDC member you are NOT eligible for the new first time user dollar cap in the DHC.
Gene Variation and Gene Discovery (GVGD) Service
Personnel provides state-of-the-art genomic and DNA sequencing evaluation for gene characterization, SNP discovery, gene discovery and translational research for gene-based studies.
